Some conversations take a while to find their room — and this one finally has. Sow Fertility was excited to see Thrive at work come together, and to have our founder, Dawn, moderate the Lived Experience panel at AXA Hong Kong and Macau's Thrive at Work: Embracing Change, Empowering Women breakfast forum, alongside two women Beth Wright and Anita Chan who spoke with real honesty about how their health shaped their careers.
What struck our founder most wasn't the individual stories. It was how quickly the room moved past questions like "does this matter?" into "what do we actually do about it?" Because that's the shift. AXA's 2026 research found a ten-year gap, from the age range of late thirties into the fifties, where women have neither the knowledge nor the support they need for their health — and 91% women surveyed believe their employer could help them manage it better.

9 in 10. The expectation is now here so employers should be asking a more practical question: what does real support look like and where do we start? And it rarely starts with a grand policy. It starts with a screening benefit someone actually uses. A room where a new mother can express milk. Manager training on what to do when someone in your team experiences a miscarriage. Fertility and maternity support that treats an IVF cycle as something you plan around, not something you hide.
These are solvable problems. Most organisations are closer than they think. If this conversation resonates — if you're wondering where your organisation would even begin — we would genuinely like to hear from you.
At Sow Fertility, we work with employers to build reproductive health and women's health support that people use, not just policies that sit on an intranet. Send us a message. We are always happy to share what we're seeing across the market, whether or not we end up working together.
