Sow Fertility's Medical Advisor Prof. Liona Poon Named a JESSICA Most Successful Woman 2026

We are proud to share that Professor Liona Poon, Medical Advisor to Sow Fertility, has been named one of JESSICA's Most Successful Women 2026, recognising her two decades of work transforming pregnancy care from reactive to preventive.

Prof. Poon, Professor(Clinical) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Obstetricsand Gynaecology and President-Elect of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), is best known for co-leading the landmark ASPRE trial, which showed that early, targeted aspirin use can cut pretermpreeclampsia by 62% in high-risk women. Her research has since been adoptedinto first-trimester screen-and-prevent protocols across Hong Kong's public hospitals, helping thousands of women receive earlier risk assessment and more personalised care. In 2024, she founded PregnaSense Co. Limited to bring her predictive biomarker research into everyday clinical use and in 2025, she joined Sow Fertility as their Medical Advisor. In 2026, Prof. Liona Poon was awarded the Croucher Senior Medical Research Fellowship to advance multi-omic research into pregnancy complications.
